Renault has presented a new version of the Logan sedan for the Russian market, which can run on both gasoline and liquefied natural gas (methane). About this December 21 informs press service of the brand.
The Renault Logan CNG sedan is based on a production model with a 1.6 liter (82 hp) engine paired with a manual transmission. For methane, a 90 liter cylinder is provided, which is installed in the trunk. At the same time, the 50-liter gas tank has been preserved. The total cruising range on two types of fuel can exceed 1,000 km.
It is noted that the main advantages of the new version of the Logan CNG are fuel efficiency, as well as an increase in the range.
The car can be bought in the Life package, which includes front airbags, an audio system, air conditioning and heated front seats.
Logan CNG will appear in dealerships in early 2022. Pricing has not yet been announced.
On May 7, it was reported that Renault intends to become the industry leader in the transition to alternative energy sources.
By 2030, nine out of 10 Renault vehicles on sale will be electrified. So, in 2025, seven electrified Renault models will be produced in the C- and D-segments, including the new generation Arkana E-Tech Hybrid cross-coupe and Megane E-Tech Electric.
