The American actor Alec Baldwin received just before the fatal shooting incident on the set of the film Peace told by the assistant director that the gun he used for shooting was empty. Report that American media Saturday on the basis of police documents. On Thursday, Baldwin’s prop fired real bullets during filming. Camera director Halyna Hutchins (42) was hit in the chest and died, director Joel Souza (48) was injured in his shoulder.
According to the police report, the assistant director handed the gun to Baldwin saying that it was “cold”, and thus was not loaded with cartridges. The assistant director would have been “unaware” that there were real bullets in the weapon. It was not disclosed what type of bullets the weapon was loaded with.
Baldwin wrote in a tweet “heartbroken” over the “accident in which Halyna Hutchins” died. He said he was “cooperating fully” with the police investigation into the shooting incident.
According to The New York Times In the week prior to the incident, part of the crew walked off the set out of dissatisfaction with the working conditions. It is unclear whether this is related to the fatal shooting incident.
