Pokémon GO is a game for mobile devices, which uses augmented reality, launched way back in 2016 by Niantic, in collaboration with Nintendo and The Pokémon Company. The game is based on geolocation, allowing players to catch virtual Pokémon in the real world through their smartphones. Players physically move to explore different areas in search of new Pokémon, battle in virtual gyms located in real locations, and participate in global and community events. The success was so disruptive that it transformed Pokémon GO into a global and social phenomenon that redefined the concept of mobile games. The next appointment for the millions of fans is in Madrid where, in addition to exploring the city in search of rare and never-seen Pokémon, players will be able to enjoy special gaming experiences in the evocative Parque Juan Carlos I.
Necrozma, the Prism Pokémon, will make its Pokémon GO debut worldwide in raids during local Pokémon GO Fest 2024 events in Sendai, Madrid, and New York.
This year, the Mythical Pokémon Marshadow, the Vivid Shadow Pokémon, will overshadow the event! After Sendai, Marshadow will make its debut during the Pokémon GO Festival in Madrid, Spain, before also appearing in New York.
