Two days after the humiliation of PSV by Ajax, reporter Mikos Gouka and presenter Etienne Verhoeff discuss the consequences in the AD Voetbalpodcast. Because PSV and coach Roger Schmidt would almost be round about a new contract. Furthermore, the new striker of Feyenoord is discussed, Ronaldo’s yellow card and cup football.
,,I would also wait with a contract extension of Schmidt”, says Gouka. “There are no privateers on the coast. Let’s see if things get better until the winter break. Look, you can lose a top match. 5-0 is very high. But it’s about the game against the small clubs.”
Feyenoord is doing well in the Eredivisie. With a new man in the attack: Bryan Linssen. Made as a winger, now goal-getter in the Kuip. Gouka: ,,Bryan Linssen is not the ideal striker for a top club. Such a player guarantees goals, can perhaps become international or is it already. It was a bit of a struggle with Linssen in that regard. But he feels good now and for the current Feyenoord it is a striker with whom they can move forward.”
The cup competition will also start this week. But Gouka doesn’t stay at home for it. ,,If an amateur club threatens to stunt against a professional club, I would like to switch on the TV. As a 17-year-old I played against Haarlem with Excelsior Maassluis. Lost unfortunately, but for us it was great to play against a BVO. And those professional clubs are afraid that they will go down against amateurs. That makes it fun and exciting.”
