Forecaster Tishkovets: sleet possible in Moscow on April 20
On the night of Saturday, April 20, cold polar air will penetrate into the Moscow region. Told about this RIA News leading specialist of the Phobos weather center Evgeny Tishkovets.
He warned that the air temperature would drop significantly. Because of this, the forecaster noted, light precipitation in some places may turn into a mixed state. “That is, light wet snow may be mixed with the rain in some places,” he explained. At the same time, Tishkovets emphasized that frosts will hit the north-west of Russia, sleet and the formation of temporary snow cover are predicted there. In particular, in St. Petersburg, snowdrifts will grow to 5-7 centimeters, and in Petrozavodsk – to 13-15 centimeters.
Tishkovets added that the next day, April 21, due to the influence of the anticyclone, the weather will clear up and become warmer. However, on Monday, April 22, we should expect rain and moderate warmth within the climate.
Earlier, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand, said that cloudy and rainy weather was expected in Moscow all week.
