From a comedy movie A man and a naked gun a new version will be made, says, among other things The Hollywood Reporter -magazine.

Original the movie came out in 1988 and was directed by David Zucker. At that time, we were seen in the main roles Leslie Nielsen (1926–2010) and Priscilla Presley.

The project has been in development for years, and with Neeson's involvement was already rumored in 2022. Neeson takes on the role of the fun-loving Inspector Frank Drebin and Anderson plays his love interest Jane Spencer.

The film is planned to be released in July 2025.

Anderson is also remembered as a Playboy magazine model. In 2022, after years off, he returned to acting on Broadway, where he appeared Chicago-musical for a couple of months.

Original A man and a naked gun was based on the 1980s TV series Hey, we're getting pumped!in which Nielsen also starred.

The film and its two sequels were box office successes worldwide and in Finland as well. Over the decades, films have been shown in Finland many times as TV remakes.

Also a recently deceased athlete-actor OJ Simpson remembered for his supporting role in the trilogy. Simpson played Inspector Drebin's partner, the bumbling Constable Norberg.

Just a few months after the premiere of the last part of the trilogy, Simpson was arrested on suspicion of murdering his ex-wife and her friend. Third Naked gun remained Simpson's last released film.
