Right now a closed alpha test of the video game is being carried out Marvel Rivals. However, some streamers who participate in it began to complain about NetEase’s conditions. These practically do not allow them to mention anything negative about the game.
The streamer known as Seagull shared the parts of the contract Marvel Rivals that prevent players from giving an honest opinion. According to these, it is not allowed to make discouraging or satirical comments about any element of the game. ‘Malicious comparisons’ between other similar games and the gameplay are also not allowed. Finally ‘negative subjective reviews of the game’ were not allowed.
After the discussion gained traction on social media, NetEase used its X account to share a statement. Here they indicated that they are working on changing these parts of the contract to allow content creators more freedom. In addition, they appreciate any comments, both positive and negative, in order to improve the experience.
We recommend you: Marvel Rivals is announced and yes, it looks a lot like Overwatch
So far there is no release date for Marvel Rivals, so we don’t know when it will reach a wider market. Although the fact that they do this test could indicate that it is relatively close. While it looks promising, let’s hope this decision to avoid negative comments isn’t indicative of a bigger problem down the road.
What do we know about Marvel Rivals?
Marvel Rivals is a hero shooter created and developed by NetEase Games. In it we can control different heroes and villains from the publisher’s comics to participate in 6 vs 6 confrontations. Each hero has their own characteristics and so far there are 18 confirmed, among which Spider-Man, Iron-Man, Hulk, Loki and Doctor Strange stand out.
For now it has only been announced for PC, but it still does not have a release date. Even so, its developers assured that it will be a free to play title when it is available. In addition, they do not rule out its arrival on other platforms. Would you like to give it a try?
