He Malaga City Council has decided to bring forward the celebration of the 2025 Three Kings Parade to the morning of this Sunday, January 5 – instead of taking place in the afternoon as usual and as planned – due to the adverse weather forecasts.
This has been assured by the Consistory through their social networks, consulted by Europa Press, where they point out that the Kings will leave at 11:30 a.m. from the Alcazaba, they will visit the Town Hall at 12 p.m. and the Parade is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. hours. The initially planned route will be maintained.
This past Friday, the City Council already ruled out an advance of the day of the main Three Kings parade in the capital to this Saturday, but the delegate councilor for Operational Services, Beaches and Festivals, Teresa Porras, did point out that they were working “on different alternatives ”.
102 years of history
With this decision, the City Council of the capital joins that of Alhaurín de la Torre (Málaga), which also maintains the Parade on Sunday, but it will be held in the morning (from 11 a.m.) instead of from 5 p.m. as was originally planned. Other town councils in the province such as those of Antequera, Estepona, Marbella, Mijas, Torremolinos and Nerja, for their part, announced that their respective parades were brought forward to this Saturday due to the forecast of rain for Sunday.
The Parade of the Three Kings of the East in Malaga capital celebrates its 102 years of existence this year in 2025 with a procession of 13 floats and 19 accompanying shows. This year, a total of 10,500 kilos of candies and 6,500 kilos of gummies will be launched.
The planned itinerary to be followed by the Parade will begin at the Town Hall, and will pass through Cervantes Avenue, General Torrijos Square, Paseo del Parque, Marina Square, Alameda Principal, Puente de Tetuán, Nazareno del Paso Street, Hilera , Puente de la Esperanza, Prim, Atarazanas, Puerta del Mar street, Alameda Principal, Plaza de la Marina, Cortina del Muelle and City Hall.

The people who will play the three delegates of the Three Wise Men during the 2025 parade in Malaga are the director of COPE Málaga, Justo Fuentes, in the delegation of King Melchior representing the media. For his part, the eldest brother of the Descent brotherhood and vice president of the Grouping of BrotherhoodsManuel Torres Téllez, will play King Gaspar at the proposal of this entity.
Finally, Mansour Konte, the young man who starred in the rescue of a woman trapped by water during DANA this November, will play King Baltasar. The suits have been made by the Malaga designer Jesús Segado.
