Before becoming an actor, John Cena he was actually a professional wrestler for the WWE. One of his most memorable movements was known as the “FU” accompanied by his particular phrase “You Can’t See Me “. As part of a new interview, Cena explained where this phrase came from and all this dressed as Peacemaker, character he plays within the DCEU.
Dinner was present in The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, where he explained how this phrase occurred to him during his times as a wrestler. In his own words:
“Okay, for those of you who don’t know, learn to use the Internet. I was already a superhero before wearing the Peacemaker costume. Perform a special stunt in WWE known as ‘You Can’t See Me’. In which, I would put my hand on my face and say ‘You can’t see me. ” The reason I was doing that is that while we were working on the album where my personal theme came from, my little brother, Sean, was always doing it in front of me.
He liked the same music as me but he never went to the studio with us. I would come home and play it for him. He was ruthless. He was never satisfied with any song. When he heard ‘My Time is Now’ he made the gesture with his hand. I asked him ‘What are you doing?’ He told me it was Tony Yayo’s dance. I told him I would do it on national television and he said, ‘I dare you to do it’… It was basically a challenge, so I went out and did it. “
Although Dinner He no longer has such a presence in the world of wrestling, the actor said that he had not yet finished his career within the Wwe, so we’ll still see him in the ring a few more times.
Peacemaker will premiere in HBO Max on January 13.
