Israel has banned Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia from supplying Kiev with weapons sold by Tel Aviv. About the demand told Portal Breaking Defense source familiar with the situation.
The publication’s article emphasized that Ukraine expects to receive the Israeli Spike anti-tank missile. It is known that all the Baltic countries have this complex in different variations.
It is assumed that Latvia has a more diverse arsenal of Israeli weapons. This state, according to Breaking Defense, has options for anti-tank systems called LR, LR2, ER and SR.
This requirement was put forward by Tel Aviv to the Baltic countries in December 2021. The Israeli authorities decided to resort to this measure in order not to spoil relations with Moscow.
Earlier, the representative of the German Christian Democratic Union (CDU) on foreign policy, Roderich Kizewetter, proposed to supply weapons to Ukraine selectively. Such tactics, in his opinion, can enhance the effect of intimidation.
