The bank led by Carlo Messina signed with the trade unions, Fabi, First Cisl, Fisac Cgil, Uilca and Unisin an agreement for the management of bank personnel which provides for 2,000 new voluntary departures and 1,100 hires by 2025.
The agreement, says the first Italian bank, is ” aimed at the same time at a generational change without social impacts and at continuing to ensure an alternative to the possible paths of professional reconversion / retraining in the framework of the enhancement of the people of the Intesa also through ‘work-life balance’.

The hires are in addition to those already provided for by the agreement of 29 September 2020, for a total of 4,600 by December 2025 in the face of 9,200 releases which will be concluded by the first quarter of 2025. The agreement provides in particular that the offer regarding voluntary exits is addressed to all the people of the Italian companies of Intesa Sanpaolo, including executives.
Those who have accrued the retirement requirements by 31 December 2028, including the so-called calculation rules, can join Quota 100 And Woman option. In the event that applications for retirement or access to the Solidarity Fund higher than the number of 2,000, a single ranking is drawn up at group level for all personnel of the Italian companies, based on the date of accrual of the right to a pension. Finally, the bank said, priority will be given to the holders of the former provisions in the ranking art. 3, paragraph 3 of law 104/1992 for themselves and for disabled people with a disability percentage of no less than 67%.
