In the Sysertsky district of the Sverdlovsk region, a man tried to hide from employees of the search department of the Sverdlovsk GUFSIN in a doghouse. The press service of the Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN) for the region reported this on Saturday, April 27.
It was also reported that a resident of the Sverdlovsk region was sentenced to compulsory labor for committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 119 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (threat of murder), but tried to evade execution of the punishment.
Law enforcement officials who arrived at the man’s alleged location found him not in the house, but in a doghouse next to it.
“The convict took the place of the dog, but, unfortunately for him, he was noticed by employees of the search department. Now the citizen will serve his sentence in prison,” the press service said in a statement published on website FSIN for the Sverdlovsk region.
Earlier, on April 1, a gang of serial burglars tried to escape from the police during a chase. One of the policemen, trying to stop them, ended up on the hood of the car. He broke the windshield of the car and demanded to stop it, but the criminals ignored this. The policeman rode on the hood for 1.5 km and then fell on the road. The perpetrators were later detained.
