Interim reports | Nokia's first year was difficult – the turnover shrank significantly

As expected, operating profit was increased by large one-time patent income.

Network devices the first year of Nokia, the manufacturer, went poorly because demand in the market is still low.

Turnover decreased by 19 percent to 4.6 billion euros, but comparable operating profit increased to 597 million euros due to non-recurring patent income.

Analysts estimate in advance that the turnover would have been 4.9 billion euros and the operating profit 600 million euros.

“However, the order intake continued to grow, so the second half of the year looks stronger and we believe we will achieve our financial outlook for this year,” says the CEO Pekka Lundmark in the interim report.
