Of the United States the Treasury minister Janet Yellen does not consider a country’s economic downturn likely despite soaring inflation.

Speaking at The New York Times Economic Forum, Yellen said there was no indication of a recession coming.

The U.S. economy has recovered strongly from the economic distress of the interest rate pandemic, but the fastest inflation rate in four decades and the difficulties of production chains have eroded confidence in the economy.

The U.S. Federal Reserve has also raised its policy rate aggressively, and a new raise is expected next week.
