Ice hockey | HIFK shakes off the bruises from its neck against Vaasan Sport, power defender Ilari Melart started the scoring

The consecutive series of four defeats was already starting to oppress Stad’s puck pride.

Helsinki IFK shakes off the bruises from its neck in the hockey league meeting against Vaasa Sport.

Power defender Ilari Melart took the home team to a 1–0 lead when he got Sport Juho from Tommila as a gift of the puck in front of the goal.

Melart has scored three goals so far this fall and leads the pack in goals. Three hits was a lot, when IFK had scored only ten at this stage.

In the second goal, luck showed itself in the same way. Eetu Koivistoinen tried to advance with a deflection to the goal of the Vaasa team, but lost the puck. Now it was Valtteri Viljanen it was the turn of the puck, which ended up to Roni Hirvone and from there to the goal.

For HIFK, the opening of the season in the League has been anything but an autumn treat. After the opening win, there were four losses in a row and anchoring to the last place in the series.

Four consecutive defeats started to pile up, and their haste got off to a good start on Wednesday night.

Before the match against Sport, from IFK’s statistics, only the number of spectators was okay, almost everything else was the weakest section of the league.

The best thing at the beginning of the Sport match was the game look, finishing the situations and playing for the goal.

Sport coaching was applied for by the head coach Risto Dufvan led by a perspective on recent history by taking a guided tour of Tamminiemi and getting to know Urho Kekkonen to life.

The world widening tour did not directly bring a new look to Sport’s game.
