An exceptional apartment is being sold in Helsinki at a record high price.

Helsinki a very rare residential apartment is being sold in the center: a two-story apartment in a historic building at a record high price.

The apartment located on Korkeavuorenkatu in Ullanlinna costs a good 29,800 euros per square meter. The sale price is just under 11 million euros, according to housing sales websites.

HS reports on the apartment because of its exceptionality. The apartment is the most expensive in Helsinki in terms of price per square meter.

In Ullanlinna, the average price per square meter was 8,462 euros in January-March and 5,182 euros in all of Helsinki.

The building from the name, Grand Residence, you can already conclude that the house is not quite ordinary. The apartment for sale is not like that either.

The apartment has, among other things, five rooms, three bathrooms, eight tiled stoves and a spa-like sauna section, approximately 370 square meters.

The apartment has its own bar room with a pool table, three balconies and thoughtful details such as the lighting of the stairs leading to the upper floor or the wooden furniture in the wardrobe.

Special equipment includes, for example, plate warmers, a boiling water tap, a dishwashing detergent dispenser and Japanese toilet seats with “plenty of washing functions”.

There is also a parking robot that parks the car on behalf of the resident.

From the lobby service, you can order walking the dog, watering the flowers, carrying grocery bags, filling the fridge, cleaning the apartment and doing laundry.

The Neo-Renaissance house was designed by a Swedish architect Axel Högberg. The builder was a master painter and factory worker Per Erik Färlanderalso Swedish.

The building is commonly known as the Ohrana house. Ohrana was the secret police of the Russian Empire, who worked in the house between 1904 and 1918.

The building was transferred from the Russian state to the Finnish state. It initially had the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff. The marshal also had a study in the house in Mannerheim.

Later, the border guard kept their quarters in the house. The state gave up the property in 2012, and in 2019, luxury apartments were completed on it.

An apartment from Ohrana's house came up for sale a couple of years ago, which was sold at a record price, more than 25,000 euros per square meter.
