A group of twelve children on bicycles who were accompanied by adults, on an excursion with a leisure centre, were hit this morning, around 10, from a car in La Rochelle, western Franceand there are several seriously injured.
According to initial reports, six children were hit by the car: one was very seriously injured and was taken away by helicopter to Poitiers; two other children are in conditions of absolute emergency and one of them was transferred to Poitiers by ambulance, while three other children are in conditions considered to be relative emergencies.
