Ford-Red Bull: first signs
The Saudi Arabian Formula 1 Grand Prix, held last weekend, saw the first signs of rapprochement between Red Bull and Fordwho had repeatedly asked for clarification on the case she saw involved Christian Horner. The American company, which from 2026 will start a technical partnership with the Milton Keynes team, will also carefully follow the development of the chaos that broke out within the Anglo-Austrian team which concerns not only the British Team Principal, but also the recent indiscretions on the possible dismissal of Helmut Marko.
Together in the F1 Academy
The fact remains that, as indicated, Ford and Red Bull have in the meantime become closer with the communication of an important official announcement: the Detroit giant has become title partner from the Red Bull Academy Programmewho supports the pilot Emily de Heus in the championship F1 Academy. From this moment, therefore, the Anglo-Austrian company's project takes on the name of Red Bull Ford Academy Programme, but not only that.
Ford's philosophy
The Dutch driver, who takes part in the 100% female championship at the wheel of the MP Motorsport team, will have the Ford brand present on both her racing suit than on your own single-seater. In this way, Ford supports Red Bull's project aimed at bringing women closer to the world of F1: “Ford Performance is committed to working with the FIA and race promoters to find ways to integrate more female talent into all levels of motorsport, both on and off the track, and this is a great opportunity to extend this I work collaborating with the best of the F1 Academy – he has declared Mark RushbrookGlobal Director of Ford Performance Motorsports – We've already partnered with other racing series, like Rebelle Rally, as well as drivers like Hailie Deegan, to bring more women to the forefront of motorsport. I'm excited to partner with Red Bull to make a positive impact in F1.”
The Red Bull welcome
Enthusiasm also expressed by Sarah Harringtonhead of the Red Bull Academy program:: “Ford's entry into the Red Bull Academy Program is a historic moment for us. Their investment represents much more than just a title partnership, as it helps to further extend Red Bull's long legacy of developing talent and breaking down barriers in motorsports. Diversity and inclusion are at the heart of the Red Bull Academy Program and we look forward to participating in the 2024 F1 Academy season.”
