Media from all over Argentina reported the case of Roque Jesús Barraza, 19, a resident of the Siglo XXI neighborhood -in the city of Santiago del Estero (Argentina)- who He received two bullet wounds from Police officer David Enrique Arévalo and died at the scene.
According to the Argentine newspaper ‘El Clarín’, a group of young people had had a verbal confrontation with the 28-year-old member of the Public Force and his friends, for which they refused to stone his house so that he would go out and have a physical fight. .
The uniformed man’s response was to take out his regulation firearm -which was 9 millimeters- and shoot right and left, towards the boys, resulting in the fatality of ‘Chuna’, as his friends called him.
The witnesses assured the local press that the boy was not involved in the fight but, on the contrary, was trying to stop it when he was hit by the projectiles. One of them hit him in the head.

For her part, the victim’s mother assured local media that it was not possible for her to take her son to the doctor because the authorities allowed her to.

This was ratified in her testimony for the local radio station ‘Radio Panorama’ by Roque’s aunt: “My nephew passed by and began to say a lot of things to them, to insult them.”

At the moment, the Prosecutor’s Office is carrying out an investigation, the body was transferred to legal medicine for the autopsy and the alleged perpetrator is in the hands of the judicial authorities – in the Single Detention Center – awaiting the investigation.
