Even as the pandemic continues, the scams relating to driver’s license, from its obtainment to actual use on the road, they continue to accumulate in our country. Recently, several news cases have told of investigations into driving schools and of people who circulate undisturbed in traffic without having a title, dramatically increasing the risk of accidents and consequent damages, including economic onesdue to the fact that usually those who drive without a license do not have insurance in order.
The local police of Moncalieri, Piedmont, recorded the case of a middle-aged woman which has been driving for 20 years without a license. In 2001, her driving license was suspended after she was caught drunk at a check-up. The woman’s license had never been revoked, but she had done nothing to get it back through the intervention of the medical commission, at the end of the period provided for that suspension. The situation arose after an accident occurred at the end of January. In all these years the woman had also managed to get numerous vehicles registered.
According to the Gazzetta del Sud, in the meantime theone-way operation relating to the facilitated acquisition of driving licenses. The Reggio Calabria public prosecutor has asked for the indictment of all the defendants who have asked for an ordinary trial; the latter, officials of the Civil Motorizations (of Reggio and Pistoia), owners of driving schools and simple candidates, are accused of having assigned or obtained a driving license without following the law. It was an investigation by the Guardia di Finanza that brought to light the business of easy driving licenses on the Calabria-Tuscany axis: some suspects had benefited in the examination of a preferential lane for the license, after having paid out even 10 thousand euros. The prosecutors, Sara Amerio and Nunzio De Salvo, have rejected any request for a plea bargain.
In Perugia, however, a man was stopped by the police without a license or insurance, with a vehicle that is not inspected. The vehicle was seized, while the driver was charged with the administrative offense of driving without a license, as well as the penalties for not having subjected the vehicle to periodic overhaul and for driving without insurance coverage. Other cases of this kind have been reported in various Italian cities, from the Alps to the far south.
RavennaToday instead reports the denunciation of Yuri Gentilini, president of Aura – Autoscuole Ravenna: they appeared on Facebook and Instagram fake social profileswhere there is the possibility of buying a driving license without taking any tests. This is not the first time: other similar incidents had been detected last fall. “Also on this occasion we immediately notified our customers and filed a complaint with the postal police against unknown persons. We would like once again to reassure all citizens, and in particular our customers, about the absolute falsity of the proposals received. No promise of an easy driving license in a few days can ever be true and plausible“Said Gentilini.
The facts reported in this article they took place within a single week: one can only imagine the amount of work and funds spent by the police, prosecutors and judges, on an annual basis, to remedy the lack of respect for the rules by citizens.
