In March 2013 the situation was still pending and DR had not yet acquired the Termini Imerese production site. The situation deteriorated rapidly: the attempt to support and renegotiate the debt with the banks led to the request for an arrangement with creditors made by the DR in May and approved by the Court of Isernia in December 2013 which sanctioned the official start of the insolvency procedure.
DR Automobiles, the rebirth in 2016
From the 2016 the situation for DR Automobiles seems to have improved, also thanks to the agreement signed with the Chinese company JAC Motorsas well as the old ally Chery Automobilewhich led to the Italian company appearing in car sales a Beijing, China.
