The beds in the medical area and intensive care are above the saturation threshold
Genoa – Vaccination in Liguria is still below the national average in particular as regards the age group 5-11 years and third doses. This is what emerges from the weekly monitoring of the Gimbe foundation.
In detail, the population that has completed the vaccination cycle is 82.8% (Italian average 82.4%) to which a further 2.1% (Italian average 2.9%) must be added with the first dose only. The third dose vaccination coverage rate is 82.7% (Italy average 85.7%) and, finally, the population 5-11 who completed the vaccination cycle is 18.2% (Italy average 25.4%) to which an additional 9.6% (Italy average 10.7%) must be added with the first dose only .
In the week between 9 and 15 February, an improved performance was recorded for currently positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants (1455) and there was a decrease in new cases (-40.5%) compared to the previous week. The number of beds in the medical area (30.8%) and in intensive care (12.7%) occupied by COVID-19 patients is above the saturation threshold. In the last week, the province with the highest number of cases is that of Savona (724), followed by Genoa (716), Imperia (691) and La Spezia (618).
