The RKI provides information about the current corona case numbers in Germany. On Tuesday, the incidence value will rise slightly, and deaths will also rise.
Berlin – The seven-day incidence in Germany rose for the sixth day in a row. The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) gave the value of the corona* -New infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week on Tuesday morning (October 19, 2021) with 75.1. For comparison: the previous day the value was 74.4, a week ago it was 65.8 (previous month: 70.5).
The health authorities in Germany reported 6771 new Covid-19 infections to the RKI within one day. This is evident from the numbers that reflect the status of the RKI dashboard at 4.18 a.m. A week ago the value was 4971 infections.

According to the new information, 88 deaths were recorded across Germany within 24 hours – exactly as many as a week ago. The RKI has counted 4,384,616 detected infections with Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic. The actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections are not detected.

Corona case numbers in Germany: Hospitalization incidence from Tuesday (October 19, 2021)
The number of coronavirus patients admitted to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days – the most important parameter for a possible tightening of the corona restrictions – was given by the RKI on Monday as 1.92 (Friday 2.02). A nationwide threshold value from when the situation can be viewed critically is not provided for the incidence of hospitalization, among other things because of large regional differences.
