Construction A new pond rose in the yard of Satu Aalto from Sipoo and the reason is suspected to be the neighbor’s unfinished cottage village – “This has already gone too far”

The municipality of Sipoo plans to drain the waters of the landfill through a private property.

The people of Sipoo Fairy tale and Kai Aalto have once again received an extra flood in the backyard of their home in the village of Nevas.

In addition to the watered yard, the extra water has also polluted Kantamantie, which is a passage for four other properties in addition to the Aalto House.

“You can’t get here except by SUV. The school taxi leaves the daughter a long way away, because the car has already been stuck on the road twice, ”says Satu Aalto.

The suspicion of the waves is that the construction site on top of the hill behind their house has caused the terrain to water down.

Last November, HS reported how the fall of autumn rains flowed from the earthworks area through a forest stream into the Aalto waveyard pond. Now no direct flood wave has been seen, but the terrain is very wet.

The waves At the end of February, a survey was held in the yard, which was attended by representatives of the Uusimaa ely center, the municipality of Sipoo and the owner of the land development area, Hotela oy.

In the memorandum on the review, ely emphasizes that the solution to the stormwater problem in the planning area and coming from the planning area belongs to the municipality on the basis of the Land Use and Construction Act.

Director of Sipoo’s technical department who participated in the inspection Ilari Myllyvirta says stormwater discharge routes will be secured during zoning.

“This one route, which passes through Aalto’s yard, has not been verified with sufficient precision. For this reason, the municipality has started drawing up a stormwater plan for the Kantamantie section. ”

The design accelerates as the snow melts and measurements can be made in the terrain.

Myllyvirta according to the stormwater from the forest have always erupted this route because the terrain does not allow the water to be diverted elsewhere.

However, Ely’s statement emphasizes that the discharge of water through another property requires the consent of the landowner or the permission of the authority.

Satu Aalto is so tired of the constant flood problems that it will not be easy to agree.

“This has already gone too far.”

An additional difficulty is that the terrain may not be waterlogged just because of the flow of rain and meltwater. According to Ely’s memo, there are indications that the disposal has pushed groundwater into motion.

There is more to point out.

“The stormwater during the filling site has not been treated as planned, the stormwater plan has only been implemented once the problems have arisen,” the memorandum criticizes.

Same the landfill site has caused political uproar in Sipoo, requests for investigation by the police and a complaint to the administrative court.

The cottage village of more than 100 holiday homes has been zoned in the Nevas Gård area, which is owned by the financial company Hotel. The cottage village project was initially set up by the original landowner Leif Fredriksson.

At first, the project was for Fredriksson alone, but more than four years ago he ended up selling the northern end of the area to Hotela oy.

In addition to soil, demolition waste has since been dumped in the area from construction sites in the Helsinki metropolitan area and ash from the Helsinki energy company Helen.

The ash embankment that last spring broke and meltwater discharged into the yard of a neighboring property.

Helsinki the administrative court ruled in january that the mayor of Sipoo With Mikael Grannas was not entitled to conceal documents related to the landfill in the Nevas Gård area owned by Hotelan oy Member of the Municipal Board Marketta from Mattila (green).

The case is related to a meeting of the Sipoo municipal government in the autumn of 2020. At that time, the municipal government discussed the situation in the Nevas Gård zoning area. Environmental inspections had been suspended by the Environmental Inspectorate due to uncertainties related to the disposal of the area.

The municipality of Sipoo had asked for expert opinions on whether Sipoo had the right to suspend the construction work. The Sipoo municipal government was told at the time that the statements would call into question the suspension of construction work.

Grannas refused to provide Mattila, a member of the municipal government, with the original documents on the grounds that they would be kept secret under the Public Access to Information Act.

The Sipoo inspection report last June revealed that Nevas’ operators had demanded EUR 13.2 million in compensation from the municipality if the suspension of work continues. The municipality later granted a landscape work permit for the area.
