The information is based on a report by the International Cooperative Society. The report compiles the financial figures for cooperatives from 2019 worldwide, both by industry and at a general level.
The combined turnover of the three hundred largest cooperatives this time was $ 2,180 billion (€ 1,926 billion). Of the companies compared, 47 exceeded the 10 billion mark, including SOK.
The largest cooperative was the French bank Group Crédit Agricole. In addition to high turnover, the bank has a large number of employees, a total of 143,000.
