After thirty-four years, the film company Blue Sky Studios has closed its doorsdestroyed by the Disney after the company acquired the assets of the 21st Century Fox in 2019. Nonetheless, Blue Sky Studios is leaving in a big way, releasing a farewell video starring Scrat.
In the movie, the little saber-toothed squirrel finally manages to catch and eat the coveted acorn, chased for years in all the films and short films that always portrayed him in pursuit of the fruit. So, Blu Sky Studios gave their official mascot Scrat the happy ending he always deservedafter seeing him lose and suffer bullying in every possible way.
On your account Twitter official, Blu Sky Studios gave the just goodbye in a really touching way: “For the past thirty-four years, we, like our steadfast character Scrat, have been looking for something that at times seemed unattainable. Yet, time after time, we’ve managed to put our arms around our versions of that elusive acorn. Unfortunately, it is not possible to hold on to anything forever“.
The tweet continues movingly, thanking the audience for the warm support given in all these years: “We enjoyed bringing our films to life as much as anyone should be allowed. We hope you have been able to experience some of that joy. Thank you, from the bottom of our collective Blue Sky heart, for having been with us all these years“.
Therefore, the company closes its doors in a spectacular way, giving a happy ending to a character who accompanied the childhood of many people and providing a great message of hope.
