Enea Bastianini of the Ducati Lenovo team, fourth in the riders’ championship, participated in the Thursday press conference of the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, the fourteenth round of the 2024 MotoGP world calendar. Below are his statements.
Expectations for Misano-2
“I think it could be a little different than two weeks ago. Let’s see what happens, I’ll try to do my best to get on the podium. I will try to win and it will be important to start from the second row at most. I did some good tests on Monday after the race, I think I found something that can help me.”
The final rush
“Me with less pressure? I don’t know how much pressure there is for others. I’ve brought home many podiums, but there’s always something missing. I need to take another step if I really want to fight for the title. Maybe I have less pressure, but it doesn’t change much. I want to bring home more podiums and maybe more victories.”
The double consecutive race
“There are advantages and disadvantages, there will be a minimal gap between everyone after the tests on Monday. Let’s see what happens tomorrow, with a few degrees less.”
The whistles on the podium
“It’s not a simple situation, It’s not nice to be booed on the podium. I hope there will be more clarity in the future, it’s not nice. I hope things change, respect is really important towards everyone.”
