Race report
The start of the American Grand Prix proved to be decisive for the final outcome of the race, especially for Garcia, who recovered two positions when the green light came on and immediately took the lead. Roberts also did very well, chasing the Spaniard with a three-place comeback, but the one who impresses the most is Dennis Foggia: the Italian actually moves up in the podium area after overtaking four riders, in a start totally to be forgotten Aron Canet. The poleman goes wide at the braking point of the first corner and even goes backwards tenth placeWhile Manuel Gonzalez is penalized with a double long lap penalty for jump start. In the first five laps Garcia leads his pursuers, but the two SpeedUps put on a show Alonso Lopez and Fermin Aldeguer, who battle with numerous overtaking for fourth position. Aldeguer emerged victorious from the challenge, increasing the gap on his teammate and completing the overtaking on Foggia with six laps to go, thus taking away the Roman rider's dream of a first podium in Moto2. Two laps later the Spaniard also overtook Roberts due to an error by the American, who however regained second position shortly after, gradually catching up with Garcia. A mission that the OnlyFans team driver is unable to complete, despite winning the podium in his home GP. In fact, Sergio Garcia is the one who celebrates the most, as he wins his first victory in Moto2, which is also decisive for the leadership of the world championship after the 3rd place obtained in Qatar. In the end, however, Foggia he is also overtaken by Lopez and Ramirez, still getting his best placing in Moto2 with sixth position. Only 9th, however, was Aron Canet, ahead of the Italian duo made up of Celestino Vietti and Tony Arbolino.
