LEGO Horizon Adventures It will be the first game in the series to be available on a console other than PlayStation. This event is historic for the company, since, unlike Xbox, Sony has made it clear that its business is exclusives. In this way, a door that seemed closed in the past opens, and that is Aloy, the protagonist of this series, could come to Super Smash Bros.
Through a recent interview with Kotaku, Tim Symons, senior producer of franchise development at Guerrilla Games, was asked about the possibility of seeing Aloy in Nintendo’s beloved cross-over. Although at the moment nothing is clear, Symons would love to see the protagonist of Horizon Forbidden West in the next installment of Super Smash Bros.. This is what he said about it:
“That would be fine. If you talk to Nintendo and they want to invite us, let me know.”
This is not entirely impossible. Let’s remember that the DLC characters of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate They fulfilled the dream of many fans. Cloud, Terry Bogard, Steve, Sora, Joker and Banjo-Kazooie are examples of series that have never had a presence on Nintendo, or are currently not related to the brand, but that joined this popular cross-over.
Sure, Sony may not be as open to the idea as Square Enix or Xbox, but it’s still a possibility to consider. Let us remember that Horizon has been a series that PlayStation has been willing to collaborate with outside of its ecosystem. In the past we saw Aloy in Fortnite and Genshin Impactso its arrival in Super Smash Bros. is not something completely far-fetched.
Unfortunately, at the moment this is only the fans’ dream, since we don’t even know if a new installment of Super Smash Bros. is in development. In related topics, you can learn more about LEGO Horizon Adventures here. Likewise, Masahiro Sakurai’s work with Smash has come to an end.
Author’s Note:
It would be very interesting if, similar to Fortnite, Super Smash Bros. becomes a meeting point for all consoles. It’s a pipe dream, but it’s one that has a lot of potential, especially considering the openness of Xbox.
