Helsinki A fire broke out in the patient room of Meilahti Hospital on Wednesday morning when the air conditioner caught fire.
Two people were present in the day care room at the time of the ignition. The patient managed to extinguish the fire with an initial fire extinguisher.
It is estimated from the Helsinki Rescue Department that the danger could have been much greater if there had not been people watching the fire.
The rescue facility ventilated the facilities, and patients have been able to return to the rooms.
The cause of the ignition of the air conditioner is not yet known.
