BMW M Motorsport will present its LMDh to everyone for the very first time on Monday 6 June.
The Bavarian manufacturer has long been working on its prototype with which it will return to compete in the main endurance events around the world next year.
Having chosen the Dallara chassis, it will be the turn of Team RLL to bring the car in the new GTP Class of the IMSA SportsCar Championship to its debut at the 24h of Daytona 2023, while later we will see it in action also in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
The BMW M LMDh, provisional code name given to it by the German manufacturer, for now it is known that it will be equipped with a 4-liter V8 Turbo engine derived from the one used on the RS 5 DTM until 2020 and a first image has been published on the official channels.
This is no longer the computer sketch that we had already seen some time ago, but a backlit photo showing the first lines of the vehicle and also how the headlights will appear.
“Take a first look at the BMW M LMDh on June 6!”, Is the accompanying phrase to the photo; so see you next Monday to find out more about the car that will cross arms with the category rivals already announced, such as Porsche, Acura, Cadillac, Alpine and Lamborghini when they are ready, in addition to the Toyota Hypercars, Glickenhaus, Ferrari and ByKolles -Vanwall.
