A 64-year-old man has been convicted of sexually assaulting a minor child and his neighbor, during the confinement caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
As stated in the newspaper The Opinion of Murciathe events occurred in the town of San Pedro del Pinatar, on the day of Good Friday 2020, when the victim was only 10 years old.
The sentence, cited by this local media, states that the aggressor “gained the minor’s trust by offering him some sneakers.” Later, as the defendant admitted, “he pulled down his pants and his underwear and performed fellatio on the minor for a few seconds.” The boy then ran away.
The boy told his parents what happened and they reported the incident to the Civil Guard, who arrested the aggressor. Now the trial has taken place. The sentence states that the convicted person, of Spanish nationality, “suffered from a mental disorder due to alcohol consumption with pathological intoxication, which affected his understanding and his will”.
The man has been sentenced to four years in prison for a crime of sexual assault, with the mitigating circumstances of reparation for the damage (according to The Opiniondeposited 20,000 euros in the court’s account before the trial, and that is the money that is set as compensation) and addiction analogy.
Furthermore, the sexual offender may not approach less than 500 meters from the child or communicate with him by any means. for 14 years. When he is released from prison, he will also have to spend seven years on probation.
