A five-magnitude earthquake struck Hualien County, in eastern Taiwan, at 12:37 pm today (local time), according to the Central Meteorological Administration.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries, according to Taiwan's Central News Agency (CNA) on Saturday. The administration added that the epicenter of the earthquake was in the Pacific Ocean, off the coast of Hualien County, 40 kilometers south of the local government headquarters of Hualien County, at a depth of 21.5 kilometers.
