According to police, all known suspects have now been reached.
Päijät-Häme the district court arrested a 30-year-old man on Thursday morning on suspicion of a gang murder in Lahti less than three weeks ago.
The man is the fourth inmate in the case. Men in their 40s, 38s and 30s have been imprisoned in the past. Everyone has been imprisoned for probable cause on suspicion of murder.
I’m talking to the director of investigation Jan Aarnisalon police have now reached out to all known suspects.
“We found the suspect on the basis of our own investigations and the arrest went smoothly,” Aarnisalo said in a statement from the Central Criminal Police on Wednesday.
Aarnisalo has not, for investigative reasons, wanted to open up what has led to the violence. However, he has said that the police have an idea of the course of events and the motive for the act.
According to police, at least the first two men arrested have had links to organized crime. According to police, it was a clash between the two groups, but only members of the other group are suspected of the crime.
At least one of the imprisoned men has once had a United Brotherhood background as well as a serious crime background.
The victim is a man born in the 1970s. He previously belonged to Cannonball and more recently to the Blue Cross Vikings Club, which was founded about a year ago.
The homicide occurred on Sunday, December 12th.
