The trial for the attack by a mob of neo-Nazis on a young man wearing a sweatshirt with the legend ‘Working Class’ was suspended this Monday for the second time. One of the two accused has not appeared. Thus, the second section of the Provincial Court of Valencia has suspended the hearing until the alleged aggressor is located. The hate crimes section of the Prosecutor’s Office requests a sentence of five years in prison for both defendants for the alleged hate crimes and injuries, in addition to compensation of 420 euros for the victim.
The trial was already suspended on April 24 due to problems in summoning the parties. However, this Monday the accused was correctly summoned. The ultra, unlike the other accused, has not appeared in the dock.
The only one of the two accused who attended the brief hearing was a candidate for several far-right electoral lists, such as España 2000 or Falange Española de las JONS. He was also secretary of Golden Dawn, the attempt to emulate in Spain the neo-Nazi formation banned in Greece.
The events date back to November 7, 2021, a young man was attacked at the intersection between Serpis and Poeta Artola de València streets.
