The tragedy that on Sunday 22nd September overwhelmed and shocked the municipality of Saviano, in the Naples area, is taking on increasingly dramatic aspects as the hours pass. A two-story building suddenly collapsed accompanied by a tremendous roar due, it is assumed, to a gas leak.

Explosion in Saviano: the most likely hypothesis is a gas leak
A tragic explosion and then, nothing. It took only a few moments to decree the terrible end of an entire family that saw some of its beloved members taken away, in the worst possible way. A mom And two childrenaged 4 and 6.

The violence of the explosion also caused damage to two neighboring homes, forcing the evacuation of two families. The scene was promptly reached by the Carabinieri of the Saviano station. A brigadier was the first to cross the threshold of the house, raised the alarm and immediately began digging with his hands through the rubble. Immediately after, firefighters, rescuers and volunteers began the desperate search for the missing.

The first to be extracted from the rubble, fortunately alive, were Dad Antonio and the little Gennaro. The man, who is in serious condition, was transported to the Cardarelli of Naples while the little one at Holy boon, from which comforting news comes. Unfortunately, after them, the two older children were the ones to be pulled lifeless from the rubble, Autilia Pia And Joseph. After several hours, thanks also to the use of specialized teams and sophisticated equipment, the body of one of the two women who were still missing was identified. At first it was thought that it was the grandmother Autilia, but then some relatives identified it as that of Vincenzathe mother of the three children. The grandmother is currently still missing.
The entire community of Saviano has unanimously rallied around this family, loved and well-liked by all.
