The Kazan Zoo and Botanical Garden celebrated the 20th anniversary of Stefan the lynx. This was reported by a local publication “TatarInform”.
The footage posted by the staff shows that the feline was given meat and various toys. The animal shared the gifts with her friend, who lives in the same enclosure. According to the zoo employee,
The male lynx is of a respectable age for this animal, so he does not like to play with toys.
It is known that in the wild, the average lifespan of a bobcat (Lynx rufus) is seven years. The oldest recorded wild bobcat was 16 years old, and the oldest bobcat in captivity lived to be 32 years old.
Earlier it was reported that rare Japanese crane chicks hatched in the Khingan State Nature Reserve, located in the Amur Region.
