“Italians’ relationship with health, in my opinion, is changing for the better, especially when we look to the future. We all want to feel better and have a better all-round balance. My feeling is that compared to the past we are much more attentive to the sphere of prevention, I am thinking for example of attention to nutrition and the willingness to take tests, blood tests and to take part in prevention screenings”. This was said by Michela Vuga, journalist and scientific communicator, commenting on the results of the 2024 edition of the Groupama Observatory ‘Change Lab, Italia 2030′, created by Groupama Assicurazioni in collaboration with BVA Doxa. The survey, which aims to investigate the main trends that will change individuals’ lifestyle habits by 2030, this year analyzed the approach of Italians to the issues of health and well-being, with a focus on the main fears that are emerging in this area.
Even in the choice of health protagonists to whom Italians choose to turn, greater attention emerges towards prevention compared to the past, as Vuga underlines: “Among the professionals of tomorrow we find the nutritionist, in whom we look for a reference figure and certainties that go beyond fashions and social trends, another very interesting figure is the psychologist: in fact, the survey shows that 9 out of 10 interviewees think it is important to consult a psychologist for their psychological balance ‘It absolutely was and is about greater attention to oneself and to prevention than in the past.”
“What is found in the survey leads me to think about something that I deal with every day, especially when I talk to the younger generations – adds Vuga – and it is the concept of ‘planetary health’, which I can summarize like this: doing what is good for me and at the same time good for the planet, also for the future. A choice that takes the form, for example, of going on foot or by bicycle rather than taking the car or choosing foods that are good for you. to health, but also to the planet. This is a trend that is also global governance.” Planetary health “in my opinion will be the future and some elements that emerge from the investigation, namely this greater sensitivity towards psychological balance and greater attention towards oneself, are already moving in this direction”, he concludes.
