In Murmansk, the former head of the penal colony-settlement IK-17, accused of receiving bribes from a convicted person, will appear in court. The regional prosecutor’s office reported this to Lenta.ru.
According to investigators, since 2023, the ex-FSIN employee regularly received money from the prisoner and for this helped him travel outside the correctional facility for personal purposes. The total amount of bribes amounted to more than 260 thousand rubles. The accused was caught red-handed while receiving another bribe.
He is charged with paragraph “c” of Part 2 of Article 290 (“Receipt of a bribe by an official for illegal actions on a large scale”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and faces up to 12 years in prison.
Earlier it was reported that the court released ex-FSB officer Frolov from custody after the verdict.
