The intense heat waves who live in Mexico continue to put into risk to dozens of animals, now in the state of Tabasco the saraguato monkeys They are in danger, seven have died and five more were rescued by Civil Protection.
The Tabasco Civil Protection Institute (IPCET) reported that due to the extreme heat situation, personnel from the Regional Center for Prevention, Emergency Attention and Training in Civil Protection Coast Region (CEREPAEC Costa) had to help a troop of saraguatos monkeys.
He said that in the community of Ayapa in the municipality of Jalpa de Méndez, Tabasco, several dehydrated monkeys were located; in addition, neighbors reported that six females and one male had died.
The IPCET detailed that they located two adult saraguato monkeys and three juveniles, which were treated with water and fruits, so that they can recover from the high temperatures.

Likewise, the Civil Protection unit urged local residents to collaborate on behalf of the animals to avoid a devastating effect on the area’s wildlife.
Saraguatos monkeys remain in danger due to heat in Tabasco
Local media reported that the death of at least 17 monkeys has been reported in the municipalities of Jalpa de Méndez and Comalcalco, specifically in the Independencia third section and Oriente rancherías, as well as in areas near Tecolutilla.
It should be noted that these animals are not the only species that are endangered by heat waves in Mexico. Recently, the death of dozens of birds in Tabasco and other entities such as San Luis Potosí was also announced.
In this state, the death of native birds was recorded, such as Choquitos, Arroceros, Luisitos, and Grackles.
The problem is complicated by the fact that, combined with the heat, around 714 fires have been recorded this year, most of them in grasslands.
