It is doubtless that mexicans we are passionate sometimes for better and sometimes for worse, but often we indulge irrationally in our passions.
for good, because thanks to that passion we defeated the french army in 1862.
For the better because thanks to that passion, armed with sticks, stones and farm tools we beat the spanish in our fight for independence.
for good because we have given ourselves to help to the brothers in moments of crisis in earthquakes, floods, fires, putting at risk, even life itself.
Worse, because passionate, defending one and the other of our candidates for the presidency, we left the invading army US penetrate almost with impunity to the Mexican capital, in the ancestor XIX century
Worse because our passion for soccer It has led us to repudiate acts of violence such as the one that occurred in the La Corregidora stadium in Querétaro, last March.
For worse because we blind ourselves to the degree of denying the facts to bow to the sayings of leaders whose true objectives do not necessarily benefit the community.
That passion, asleep most of the time, can cause outbursts capable of generating wounds that can take a long time to heal, or even never.
Today the increasingly accentuated social polarization is seen with concern, the undesirable gap between siblings is becoming more marked every day and those who favor it, apparently do not measure the consequences of this inciting one against the other.
Let’s not forget that words have weight and that they can provoke unpredictable reactions in this passionate Mexico.
Let’s take care of what we say, because we are responsible for each word, to the same extent that we are responsible for each action.
Improving our levels of civility, prudence and respect, especially towards those who think differently, simply because they have the right to do so, is really achieving a change that favors the creation of the nation that our descendants deserve.
For a dignified and united Mexico, let’s make a pact.
Thank you
