Datafolha listened to the public at the event on topics related to sustainability; festival slogan is “for a better world”
A survey conducted by Datafolha during the Rock In Rio music festival shows that 72% of respondents imagine that the world in 2050 will be worse than today.
The opinion clashes with the event’s slogan: “For a better world”.
Only 18% believe that the world will be better in the future and 8% say that everything will be the same as it is today.
According to the survey report (intact– 8 MB), pessimism is prevalent in all age groups and levels of education.
Datafolha interviewed 412 people aged 16 and over on Friday (September 2, 2022), the 1st day of the festival’s concerts. The survey was commissioned by Suzano.
The survey asked respondents about other attitudes related to sustainability.
One of the questions was whether they believed that individual attitudes contribute to the preservation of the environment. The majority (69%) said they saw a benefit in these attitudes.
Despite this, the share of participants who give a high score (from 8 to 10) for the personal contribution is 37%. Another 44% evaluate their own effort with scores from 6 to 7 and a minority (19%) evaluate themselves with scores from 0 to 5.
sustainable companies
The majority of the audience (69%) said that “trust a little” in companies that claim to be sustainable. There are 15% of those who do not trust, the same portion that declares “trust a lot“.
Few (21%) declare that they always buy sustainable products. The majority (61%) report making occasional purchases with this concern.
The research made a ranking on the perception of the participants in relation to the companies present at Rock in Rio. The largest share (35%) did not point to any brand as the most sustainable. Natura (18%) was the brand that scored the best.
