Will Xbox have its own fighting game in the future?
As we now know Activision Blizzard was acquired by Microsoft: the bureaucratic process should end next year, or in 2023, but both parties through press releases and social networks said they were enthusiastic.
Not only Microsoft and Activision Blizzard are: fans of the Redmond company reacted with glee to the news because it means that the Xbox Game Studios portfolio will skyrocket. Consequently, all of these teams will work on as many games that could be Xbox exclusive in the future (although for now the company is committed to honoring existing agreements with PlayStation).
Precisely because Xbox now has numerous IPs, fans are already dreaming of a fighting game in style Super Smash Bros. Among these the Reddit user f_tom who shared an image on the forum showing a roster of characters from many IPs now available to Xbox. A Crash Bandicoot vs Master Chief stands out on the player created screen.
Xbox currently doesn’t have an exclusive fighting game yet: may this be the right time for a Super Smash Bros.-style game. Fans are hoping for it.
