Earlier this year we wrote about the working prototype of the Delage D12 Hypercar. It is the umpteenth brand that comes with more than 1,000 hp and puts a futuristic design around it. At Delage they play the Formula 1 and fighter jet card to make it extra ‘special’. That we would ever get tired of that.
But Delage has a new feature for their millionaire toy. You can now convert the D12 Hypercar into a Speedster yourself. In ‘less than ten minutes’ you should have the roof off with two people. For the halo effect of current Formula 1 cars, you can place a spoiler where the windscreen used to be. This should guide the wind away from you.

For the full experience, that halo can also be removed. You can also go for the Speedster variant where you have a small screen in front of you, but to keep it simple, that screen can also be removed. Although you will dine with a menu of flies and other flying insects.
Of course, Delage does all this for a reason. On top of the purchase price of 2.5 million euros, both the F1 set and the jet fighter variant will cost you 190,000 euros without taxes. As a plaster on the much larger wound, you also get a helmet with the F1 set. If you can’t choose; you can just go for both packages. Then Delage will send you a receipt for 260,000 euros.
