Henry Cavillthe star of The Witcherthe hugely successful TV series produced by Netflix, and many other film productions, is a fond of board gamesand has recently been spotted at Warhammer Worldpart of the UK headquarters of Games Workshop.
Several posts were shared by both Games Workshop employees and the actor himself, who never made a secret of his passion. The love of the board game that Henry Cavill shares with millions of other people around the world is well documented and proven. Previously, he had defended the honor of Warhammer on a “battlefield” consisting of a show by the Irish TV host and comedian Graham Norton.
Cavill also shared hers on Instagram miniature painting projects, in which he showed the statuettes he was working on. The thing that makes his visit to Games Workshop and Warhammer World potentially exciting, beyond the joy of knowing that a Hollywood star of this caliber shares a passion for board games with millions of people, is the interest previously manifested by Henry Cavill towards any adaptation Of Warhammer 40k.
Talking with Empire last December, Cavill said:
I would absolutely take the chance [di partecipare a un adattamento cinematografico di Wahrammer]that’s something I’d be very, very excited to do.
The actor’s presence at Warhammer World isn’t enough to confirm anything, but it could be there he tries that something is in motion. In this period there is an excess of announcements regarding the cinematographic transpositions of works of science fiction, fantasy, video games and board games.
Just think of the recent release of Unchartedfilm with Tom Holland which traces the adventures of a young man Nathan Drake. Additionally, Wizards of Coasts is hard at work on an inspired movie and TV show Dungeons and Dragons.
Surely, talent and passion by Henry Cavill would make sparks on a film adaptation of Warhammerand would make it a work of the highest quality.
