The match on day 4 of the Clausura 2022 tournament of the Liga MX between FC Juárez and Chivas de Guadalajara was scheduled to take place this Saturday, February 5, at the Benito Juárez Olympic Stadium. However, this commitment will be rescheduled, according to a statement published by the league on its social networks.
Liga MX indicated that the duel had to be rescheduled due to the snowfall and low temperatures that have been recorded in Ciudad Juárez since Thursday, February 3, and that are forecast to continue throughout the weekend. Due to the weather conditions, the league considered that priority should be given to taking care of the health and integrity of players, fans and clubs.
Through its statement, Liga MX asked citizens to take into account the climate alarm issued by Civil Protection of Chihuahua for the Cold Front 28. Finally, the league thanked both Bravos and Chivas de Guadalajara for their understanding and willingness to reschedule the meeting.
On matchday 5, Chivas will receive Tigres at the Akron Stadium, while FC Juárez will not have any activity. The border team will play its commitment corresponding to this date on March 8 against Monterrey, a team that will play the 2022 Club World Cup in the following days.
In this way, the team led by Ricardo Ferretti will practically be a month without activity in the Clausura 2022 tournament.
