“What I would like to call them” Chiara Petrolini’s ex-boyfriend speaks for the first time: his heartbreaking words about newborns

If he had known about the pregnancies, he would have wanted to raise them both, says the ex-boyfriend and father of the two newborns.

The citizens of Parma are still shocked after the chilling discovery of the two newborns found buried. The Parma Prosecutor’s Office is appealing against the investigating judge’s decision which granted house arrest to the 22-year-old accused of killing and burying her newborn babies in the garden of her home in Traversetolo.

In fact, regarding what happened to the newborns, the request is made for the young woman to be transferred to prison, contesting the judge’s decision which set aside the charge of suppression of a corpse in favor of the less serious concealment of a corpse. Meanwhile, theex-boyfriend of the girl has made several statements to the media.

The boy would have expressed his will to give a name to the two newborns before the funeral celebration arrives for them. “My world collapsed,” revealed the young man, adding that he had already thought of names for the little ones, precisely Domenico and Angelo. The boy, in fact, would be determined to honor those names even now, after the horror that happened to these lives broken in the bud. The boy told ‘Repubblica’ that he was totally shocked.

When the police called me for interrogation, I didn’t know if it was a nightmare or a film. I was devastated. I had never noticed anything suspicious about Chiara. She seemed like a flawless girl even in the eyes of her parents.

Chiara, at the moment, remains accused of infanticide And concealment of a corpse. She would have carried out both pregnancies in total secrecy, and it seems that there were not even any suspicions in the family. The young woman explained that she had never wanted to become a mother and that she had hidden everything for fear of other people’s judgement.

According to the boy, when the body of the first newbornChiara had sent him a message in which she said that the police had discovered a deceased child in the garden of the house. At that moment, after learning the truth, he wanted to stop all contact with her. “I didn’t want to hear from her anymore even when she wrote to me on my birthday, I ignored the message,” said the young father of the newborns. According to the boy, Chiara was obsessed with the opinion of others, focused on maintaining an impeccable facade. “He said he was taking the pill,” reveals Chiara’s ex-boyfriend.

At this point the boy wants to organize funerals for the two newborns: the first, born in May 2023, would have the name Domenico, like his father’s best friend. “The second, Angelo, because it was thanks to him that all this truth came to light,” continues the young man. The 20-year-old no longer feels anything for Chiara but, as he states, he feels he has lost trust in every person and relationship.
