Employer president praises designated Minister of Economic Affairs
Rainer Dulger, the President of the Employers’ Association, congratulates CDU boss Friedrich Merz for making Katherina Reiche a Minister of Economic Affairs. Reiche is the head of the energy group West energy and previously sat in the Bundestag for a long time. “Katherina Reiche thinks economically and ticks politically,” said employer president Dulger der Süddeutsche Zeitung. “This is a big advantage: we need more changes from business to politics. It’s good that the Merz cabinet will be a positive exception here.” The companies need “a real administrator for the economy at the cabinet table”. Dulger demands less bureaucracy from the future government and “a modern energy policy that makes electricity affordable”.
