Sinaloa.- The head of the Sinaloa Ministry of Health, Héctor Melesio Cuén Ojeda said that they have not yet made a decision regarding the possibility that the use of face masks in public transport and closed places is no longer mandatory in the entity, because they are still registering contagions of Covid-19.
The official said the above, after Governor Rubén Rocha Moya pointed out at the weekly conference that they are looking at the possibility of no longer requiring the use of face masks, after Sinaloa passed the epidemiological green light.
“We will have to assess that, of course regarding the results that are being given, the epidemic has decreased a lot, however, a couple of days ago 24 people died here in the state of Sinaloa and the recommendation that exists at this time by epidemiologists, is that public transport and in closed places, we still have the mask, that we put on the mask, “said Cuén Ojeda.

He mentioned that this is because there are still outbreaks in other parts of the country; “China does not have the door right now, they are confining. It would be necessary to wait, especially that the general health council already withdraws what is the health emergency.
“The governor gives an opinion of this nature, because there are a lot of infections, that is the reality, it is common sense, what he says, however, we will have to assess this together,” said the health secretary.
The official said that it is feasible that the mask is no longer mandatory, as long as the contagion is still going down.
“The truth is that anyone who sees the statistics that exist regarding how the contagion of Covid-19 has come down, these decisions can be made, as is the case in Nuevo León, however we are going to talk, the governor has the last word for a possible measure of this nature.
