The “Gilmore Girls” star was involved in a serious car accident with his wife: both injured were promptly rescued

On the night of June 29th, Scott and Anastasia were driving home when their car collided with a vehicle fleeing from the police. The impact was so devastating that Cohen said he thought they wouldn’t make it out alive:

In the accident, Anastasia suffered serious injuries to her arm, while Cohen suffered a fractured sternum. Classified as “non-union“, is a condition in which the bone does not heal completely, leaving permanent consequences.
The tragic story began in Astoria, Queens, where the police stopped a car for a routine check. The driver, instead of stopping, accelerated, triggering a chase with the police. The adrenaline-filled journey took him all the way to Greenpoint, Brooklynwhere the head-on collision with Cohen and Traina’s car occurred.
After the crash, the suspect’s vehicle caught fire. Despite the flames, the driver managed to escape from the vehicle, continuing his mad dash on foot. The police chased him. The situation further escalated when a shootout broke out between the fugitive and the police, in a finale worthy of a Hollywood thriller.

Although his wife is slowly improving, Cohen will have to live with a fractured sternum that doctors say will never heal completely. The actor Gilmore Girls calls on fans to be cautious and underlines the importance of road safety.
